The African council for communication education(ACCE) Nigeria chapter is a commission and special Union which created and provided in order to promote and developed the communication skills of both students and practitioners throughout Africa.
The kaduna polytechnic mass communication department under the onion of African council for communication education ACCE Nigeria chapter, the department were under the leadership of Dr Gambo Ibrahim ahmad has organized the international annual general meeting conference at tudun wada main campus.
The meeting where held on 25″ October 2023 at Kaduna polytechnic civil engineering theater hall at tudun wada main campus. The meeting was design to address some issues related to mass communication and to both students and practitioners for them to be able to understand some important aspects of they profession.
The meeting was design to address some topics as follows
The Kaduna polytechnic mass communication department under the leadership of Dr.gambo Ibrahim Ahmad has organized the international annual general meeting which held at chemicals engineering theater hall at tudun wada main campus.
The meeting where blessed and honored with the present of several many and numerous professors from various part of the nation and even from abroad (outside Nigeria).
Firstly, we have the present of former spoke person and SSA on media to former president of Nigeria PMB mallam garba shehu.
An also we have the present of professor Chris wolumati ogbondah from university of Federal capital territory FCT Abuja. The professor wolumati also discussed about the role and effect of mobile phone in spreading and disseminating of factual information which can create awareness to the general public in a nationwide.
Furthermore, the meeting have the present of respectful rector of the great institutions (Kaduna polytechnic) Dr.Suleiman ummar. Similarly the meeting have the present of our great father of mass communication department and our head of the department Dr.gambo Ibrahim Ahmad and his respectful team members those are willing to sacrifice a lot of time to ensure growth and implementation and development to the students of the special department within the special institutions which is mass communication department Kaduna polytechnic.
In essense and in not less than one paragraph let me highlight some of those great lecturers who are about to promote the department of mass communication.
First person, we have the present of Dr.bashir hadi ashara,the one who specialist in any issues of broadcasting and ready to sacrifice his time in order to promote the students of mass communication department to look so differences in advanced.
Second person, we have the Present of Dr.abdullahi Muhammad doki,the one who specialist in any issues of print media and ready to sacrifice his minutes to the number of students of Mass communication department so as to look forwarded in they academic affairs.
Third person, we also have the present of mallam sunusi buhari,the one who specialist in any issues of onlined journalism and ready to sacrifice his hours to the number of students of Mass communication department so as to look forwarded in they academic affairs in such a way that they can proud for been in Kaduna polytechnic mass communication department.
Lastly, we also have the present of our former digital examination officer of Mass communication department which is mallam Ahmad balarabe sa’eed.and the rest of them
Theme:1.communication freedom,
The communication freedom: this simply means the access of expression to media practitioners and what,where, when,why and how to say something at any given points as a watch dog of the society.
Theme:2.governance and regulations in digital era.
Governance and regulations in digital era: as any other professional media have rules and regulations and governance which served as a regulatory body of any media houses to ensure a smooth flows media practices in a nationwide. To achieve that the federal government of Nigeria provided a special commission to guide the media practices in the nations example of such commission is national broadcasting commission(NBC).
Theme:3.challenges and optional.
Challenges and optional: similarly as any other professional mass communication has the number of challenges face by members of press and the practitioners at different level of been professional in term of passing information more means of promoting and developing national peace unity and and promotion within the society and among individuals in a nationwide.
The above mentioned topics are the difference topics design to address within the meeting, an also the answers has been given and discussed by difference professors where attended the meeting.
Last but crucial let us highlight some difference professors that attended the meeting and contributions of some of the special guest within the event.
In the meeting, we have the present of deputy senate president,senator barau Ibrahim maliya. And also we have the present of professor ummar pateh vice chancellor of federal university kashere gombe state.The professor pateh make speach and clarification about some challenges facing by the members of press in Nigeria.
